Concert Band

Designed for the student with 3 to 5 years experience, Concert Band students will take music to a whole new level as they learn to sing through their instruments. Students will continue to work on the subtleties of music, including independence of parts, dynamics, phrases, articulations, pitch and tone. As Concert Band musicians mature through challenging music, opportunities are given for them to reach out to the community through a variety of ministry concerts during the year.

Requirements

· -Purchase or rent your instrument.

· -New students must audition for Concert Band.

· -Each student should practice at least five days a week, thirty minutes a day.

· -Students should take weekly private lessons. (A list of suggested private instructors will be provided on first day of rehearsal.)

-Students are expected to participate in all rehearsals, concerts and fundraisers.
